Gloucester artists studio

The art studio is a project to create a modern, functional, and inspiring space tailored for an art and sewing enthusiast. Designed to seamlessly integrate with the surroundings, the design prioritises natural light, featuring north-facing rooflights and expansive windows that offer serene countryside views. Inside, we’ve customised the layout to the clients specification; with bespoke joinery and furniture sized to fit our client's collection of sewing machines.

Sustainability is a cornerstone of our design, with a sedum green roof promoting ecological benefits and an efficient rainwater management system. The exterior combines natural stone and lightweight black-stained timber, harmonising with the existing house while adding contemporary charm. Inside, an exposed timber roof structure references a patchwork quilt. Equipped with flexible lighting and connectivity, our studio fosters creativity and practicality, embodying our commitment to crafting spaces that are as innovative as they are inspiring.
